Children's Advocacy Center of Grayson County
Child Abuse continues to be something that every parent fears. According to Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, it was a devastating experience for 1483 children in Grayson County, Texas in 2006. When a child is abused, what happens to them?
The Children's
Advocacy Center is a child friendly environment for children after they have
suffered abuse and neglect. There they can feel safe telling their experiences
while finding the support they need for healing to begin.
Here is the process at the CAC.
The center offers a coordinated, mutli-disclipinary intervention system that involves children's protective services, law enforcement, the district attorneys office, therapists and medical personnel working as a team to break the cycle of abuse in Grayson County.
